The Inner meaning of the New Testament
The first edition of the Inner meaning of the New Testament was published by Květoslav Minařík as a private publication at his own expense in 1945. He prepared this second, revised edition for publication by 1957, but only now do the circumstances alow its introduction to the general public.
Květoslav Minařík choses quotations from all four Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles and some epistles and adds his explanatory comments. He interprets the Christian teaching of the New Testament as a teaching about knowledge, power and liberation, leading a person through the path of redemptive morality all the way to a full recovery and gaining of wisdom. He argues for the depth and greatness of the benefit of Christianity which is, by some contemporary “mystics“, underestimated in comparison with the oriental teachings. The path of simple morality, as it is shown by the New Testament, should be prescribed to everyone who wants to attain the world of the Great Mysticism of all ages and school. This book shows how to walk this path.

The New Testament shows a person the right way. I have taken the liberty to add explanatory notes to it in order for its moral commandments to be substantiated deeper. The reader will see that the religion pursues real goals and builds on laws logical for the reason, because its starting point is a teaching about self-control, peaking in a total halt of the inner activity during a vigilant consciousness. The vigilant consciousness is the only real precondition for detached observation. By this observation the senses are sharpened to such an extent that the observer can observe the happening in its causes and effects. That is the second – the higher good of the religious teaching....
